with the passage of days, zatanna couldn't help but notice how bigger she grew, not that she ate a lot, it was the little fetus growining within her. her and julian's baby, who was her husband but they went around telling people they were just dating. he didn't wanted the world to know just yet that they were married so zatanna push him to do that. both of them were a very compromising couple. she'd give up on anything he wanted, and he would do the same. they had already been through a havoc when his sisters found out that he was going to become a daddy in a couple of months, she couldn't afford anymore of trouble. she hated the spotlight, gossip and just liked being lonely, and of course in the arms of her love, julian. she had been this way from a young age, as she was anti social and scared of people, especially after being harassed and beaten up by her drunk step father several father and then bullied by her classmates. from the beginning until now, julian stood up for him & took her side, gave her a shoulder to cry and held her back, so they were just not lovers but best friend first of all.
her moods these days kept on swinging around from being happy to sad, hyper to lazy, bubbly to sobby. that's what pregnancy did to woman so nobody could blame her. the best part was the level of understanding that julian and zatanna shared so there were no hard feelings even if she kicked him out of the bedroom. being the gentleman he was, he never said a word or cursed her for this and whenever she was rude to him, minutes later she would realise her mistake and go make up for it. same thing had happened today, which was when he asked her to pass his shirt, she turned around and told him she wasn't his slave which was harsh but she said in out of annoyance and pain. being pregnant wasn't easy. the pain was unbearable and zatanna had very little patience. she was the type to run away from pain and hide but she couldn't do anything about this pain, she loved her baby and it meant the world to her, a whole new life. she decided to make up for being rude and set up a romantic dinner date for them, outside the house and near the pool. she had it decorated with lights and candles on the table and set pizza and a few of his favorite other food items on the table that she had cooked all by herself and took her nearly two hours to get done while he was away, hanging with his guys & working. she texted him to get home soon and that she was missing him.
half an hour later she heard the door open and knew it was him. she walked out, wearing a short, black dress that was loose and her baby bump was sticking out and her siny black and long hair bouncing on her shoulders; absoutely stunning. she greeted him with a soft smile, as her arms wrapped around him and she kissed him softly. we have missed you & we've got a surprise for you she said, placing his hand on her belly and letting him feel the baby kicking, for the first time. she had been feeling them since afternoon and she was very excited to let him know about it but decided to make it a surprise for him. and we have another surprise too. she said and behind him and wrapped the blind fold that covered his eyes. he opened his mouth to ask what was going on and she put her finger to his lips and moved closer. shhhh.. no talking, just follow me or you're in trouble she hissed, obviously kidding the trouble part and held his hand and lead him out the house, in the yard and near the pool where she had set a romantic spot for him. there were lights, candles on the table and music system, not to forget the delicious food. she took off the blind fold. TADAAH!she exclaimed. since i was so rude to my gorgeous husband, i decided to make up for it. so I cooked all your favorite dishes even though i was lazy like hell but i'm really very sorry for being so rude to you earlier..' she said, in the apologizing tone and leaned against the chair and waited for his response. but incase you don't want to forgive me, feel free to punish me' she teased in her husky tone, winking at him. she loved him to bits, he meant the world to her.
