Asher flipped her head back up, pulling her hair into a bouncy ponytail, forcing the normally free strands to behave today. She was all about looking decent and well presented, even for a stripper just rolling out of bed. She had no classes today, so she'd simply slept in and had just gotten out of the shower. Her small apartment was comfortable, even though she had clothes and shoes everywhere. Humming a pop song under her breath, she turned the radio on as she began her daily chore of getting ready for the day when her phone beeped. Checking it, she scanned the message and shrugged, replying she'd be over in a bit.
Hayden was a friend of hers who she'd met a while ago when she was living elsewhere. Despite her profession, he still hung out with her and the two of them became best friends. Asher sighed and made a pouty face at her closet, wishing that it would magically tell her what to wear. Knowing it wouldn't, she moved forward, and pulled out a pair of pants and tossed them on the bed. She'd settled for wide leg pants and a cropped white top that showed off her stomach and tattoos.
Shrugging, she quickly dressed, grabbing a pair of white, heeled sandals to give the illusion that she was a bit taller before heading down the stairs and hopping in her car. It wasn't anything spectacular, just an older camaro, and she made a stop at a Starbucks before finally arriving at Hayden's place. Asher needed coffee to function, that was no secret of hers and she always needed to have at least three cups. She hummed a bit before parking, sliding her sunglasses up on top of her head before greeting Hayden with a hug and a peck on the cheek and walking in the door.
She relaxed on the couch, sipping on her coffee and watching Hayden with amethyst eyes and arching an eyebrow. "Alright, Mr. Rockstar. I'm here. What's up that you want reinforcements?" She teased, watching him.
Ash hadn't met anyone from Hayden's past yet, her schedule didn't allow her to, however she'd heard plenty about both people, brother and Hayden's little crush.

--- Take your hand in mine. (IT'S OURS TONIGHT) Hayden stood on the balcony, overlooking the lobby below. The tile was black and white, arches holding up the entrance to two hallways at the bottom of the stairs, one heading left along the house, the other right. The stairs of marbles, went straight up, widening at the end. Various doors were at the top, all shut. To the left was the guest rooms, eight of them to be exact. To the right was his family's rooms, or rooms his family would stay in. Each odd numbered room had a window and a balcony, for people to see the back of his estate. Complete with a Pool in the middle, and a lounge area surrounding it. A brick wall blocked his estate from the outside world, and an automatic gate opened only to those who had the key to make it unlock.
He examined the walls, white. His whole house was white on the inside, except for the foundation bricks. His large front door was brown however with a raven shaped knocker. The porch on the front of the house very well kept, no dust nor ashes could be seen on anything. Ashes would be coming from the copious amounts of cigarettes he and Matthias smoked. He looked up at the crystal chandelier then, gleaming and very bright. Hayden was clad in tight jeans, and a dress shirt. His shoes were black boots, leather and pointed. The belt around his waist was studded, the sleeves of his shirt rolled up just below the elbows. The two tops buttons left open, and his hair was slicked up.
He headed down the large staircase gracefully as the car pulled up. He'd spotted it by the large circular window just above the front door to his house. Various voices could be heard along the hallways, mostly servants, but the occasional squabbling of his band mates could be heard. As he reached the bottom of the stairs he shot his assistant Bobby a look. The man disappeared into the hallway on the left at the bottom. The left hallway meant for his band mates at the bottom, and the hallway on the right was the library, inside lounge, and a smoking zone game room. Winston approached him then, his butler. "Inside Lounge." he said to the man. With that, he swiftly took off and headed toward the lounge, the right lower wing, as he called it.
He sat down in a chair across from the sofa, a TV was to the left, propped up and stationed inside of the wall. Plasma Screen, 48 inch. Complete with HD quality. He opened the fridge that was stationed just to the right of him, underneath a small table. He took out a Heineken and sipped it softly, he smiled as the door opened. "That's no way to greet a friend." he said, wagging a finger at her. He unlike Matthias, did not feel the need to hug people to greet them, so he remained cross legged in his chair. "But if you must ask, it's about my brother." he heard the clacking of feet descending down the marble staircase in the lobby. "You'll see.." he said, his blue eyes trailing from her to the door, expecting a visitor.

Asher laughed as she simply shrugged a shoulder, still pecking his cheek and running a hand through his hair, mostly because she could. She was a very warm, touchy person and it went well with her chosen occupation. She blinked at him, shrugging a shoulder as she sat, relaxing and drinking her coffee. It was warm out already and Ash loved the warmth, being from the islands of Hawaii.
Sighing, she stuck her tongue out at him, the silver barbel glistening in the light, akin to the one adorning her navel. "Alright, I'll bite," she said as she lowered her voice. "I know what you've told me, but it is way too early for guessing games."
Ash watched him sit, patience speaking volumes about it before she flicked her eyes to watch the door, following his lead for the moment.

--- Write a list of targets, of everyone whos hurt you. (YOUR VIOLENT LACK OF VIRTUE) Matthias stormed down the marble staircase, his feet creating a shuffled clattering sound which echoed through the parlor and hallways. His shoes were loafers with a hard rubber bottom, causing the clacking noise. He had on loose worn jeans which hung at his waist by a belt, his boxers visible a bit just above the jeans. His shirt a white short sleeved dress shirt, left unbuttoned. His hair was combed the way his liked it, and his tattoos visible as always. Same with Haydens, but he liked his more. He fussed with Winston, Hayden's butler as the marched down the right wing hallway. Winston turned, and Matthias followed busting open the door. His face angry as ever, and Winston didn't look much happier. A cigarette was waved through the air by Matthias' right hand.
"Oh, I see how it is yeah? Gonna get this bastard ta wake me up with a bright fuck off light, while I lie there sleepin. Hate to tell ya mate, but this ain't how I get up in the mornin', bloody ridiculous." he turned and shot a glance at Winston then as Hayden shot a look at Ash. Matthias walked over to the fridge as Hayden began his apologizing for the behavior."Save it den, ain't no one here we are tryin' to impress, now is there? hm?" he said, thinking he was talking to Winston. He turned as he had grabbed a beer from the fridge, after taking a drag of his cigarette. He nearly choked when he caught sight of Ash.
"Oh, um, scuse me. Names Matthias, Hayden's brother ova here yeah. Uh, pleasure ta meet ya toots." he walked forward then motioning for a greeting hug. His scent a mixture of cigarettes and polo cologne. "Are we expectin' Blake, taday?" he asked, his British accent very defined. He nodded at the shortly response of his brother, and made himself comfortable at the end of the couch. He crossed his leg over his thigh, and put his cigarette out in the ash tray. Hayden avoided making eye contact with him, but Matthias' impish grin told him enough. Too much went on in Matthias' head for anyone but himself to keep up with.

Blake was the last to arrive, as was usual. She had been working, off teaching her piano and voice lessons, doing what she could to make extra money. She didn’t live with Hayden and instead had been living with Matthais, though everything was up in the air right now. The petite blonde didn’t know which way was up anymore, and was thoroughly confused, so instead she spent most of her time alone in the park or doing something out of everyone’s way. She managed to slip by everyone, waving at the few people that noticed her entrance and greeting them with a shy smile as she silently moved through the house. She could easily hear Matthais grouching and his tone suddenly changed, alerting her that someone else was present.
The tiny blonde hovered just at the edge of the doorway, out of sight of everyone as she watched, her jaw almost dropping open at what the other woman said, and her reactions. It was something that Blake wouldn’t even dare to dream of doing to Matthais, but the way the woman handled it, it was as if there was nothing at all.
Asher barely moved from her spot on the couch as she sized up Matthais, arching an eyebrow. “Oh, you’re right. I would like him, he’s just my type. Hot and an asshole,” she said, ignoring Matthais as he bent over to retrieve a beer. “Great ass too. I like him just fine until he opens his mouth,” she continued, her tone breezy as she gave Hayden a cheeky grin. Matthais’ next words dropped the grin from her face as she spoke.
“First off, I haven’t had the other two cups of coffee required for me to function, so I’m not going to deal with assholes and kids today. Second, there are two names you can call me. Asher or Ash. Don’t fucking call me that again unless you want to be tasting the bottom of my shoe. And thirdly, If you’re going to continue being an asshole, at least get naked and be one,” she said before she finished her own cup of coffee, giving Matthais a look that was akin to her undressing him with her eyes. Asher wasn’t shy about things and this early, she needed to have coffee or else she said what she felt in that moment.
Blake scurried forward at that, almost certain that Matthais was going to fly off the handle. She’d never seen a girl speak to him like that, most of them swooned over him and tried to get his attention all the time, no one ever called him out on his behavior. The girl made no noise whatsoever, silent and shy as always as she hung back, unsure of what to do. It was only a few moments as she hovered near by, deciding to stay where she was, standing near the wall and observing the interactions between them, worried about upsetting both boys and in the end doing nothing.

--- Take your hand in mine. (IT'S OURS TONIGHT) Hayden shot a look at Matthias, his entrance rather embarrassing to Hayden. He shook his head then and looked at Ash. "Good to know you can put up with it. However, I do apologize. He's still being trained." he shot a look at Matthias then, but Matthias seemed too shocked at what Ash had said to notice. Hayden smirked then, and movement out of the corner of his eyes caught his attention. He stood up then, and with three long strides, was next to Blake. He wrapped his arms around her, knowing Matthias had hurt her by leaving her alone for a few days. "I'm sorry..." he said. Hayden was no longer aware of the reaction of Matthias seeming them together.
Hayden had never really caught on to Matthias's jealousy of them being so close. He rested his cheek on Blake's head then, comfortingly. Hayden was better at words than he was at comforting, but he'd learned a bit over the years. As for Matthias who was good at almost everything, except maturity. Hayden took Blake's hand then,"Come sit?" he asked. He jerked his head slightly in the direction of the two chairs across from Ash and Matthias. Matthias usually took up the whole couch by laying on it and messing with something. A book, his phone, a cigarette, or a lighter.
Matthias fiddled with anything, anything distracting that is. Hayden turned then, and caught the look on Matthias's face. He suppressed a chuckle and glided across to his chair. He sat down once more, and shrugged at Ash. The thought of 'well done' entered his mind, but he decided fuel on the fire was unnecessary. Matthias however, was always ready for a fight. One of the many reasons he and Hayden didn't get along.

Ash smiled some, laughing a bit as she looked back at Matthais. "Sometimes, all they need is the right...touch," she purred, grinning a bit as she watched Hayden get up. His simple actions told her exactly what she needed to know about who the newest member here was and she smiled some, hiding it behind her hand as she none too gently moved Matthais' limbs out of her personal area on the couch.
Blake blushed some when Hayden apologized, shaking her head and returning the affection, snuggling into him some as she stared at the floor. She felt kind of bad about it all, confused as to what to do really in the moment, so all she did was nod at Hayden's words. She sighed and shook her head, sending blonde hair sliding over her shoulders as the strands tangled themselves. "It's okay," she said softly. "It's not his fault."
She bit her lower lip and scampered over to give Matty a quick hug and greet him softly, careful to avoid upsetting everyone before she scurried back to the open chair, curling up in it. Her small frame barely took up half the chair as she curled her feet under her, sinking back away from everyone as she watched the room, trying not to giggle at Matty's expression to the girl. He wasn't used to people, especially girls standing up to him, so this was new for him. It was almost comical at the expression, but Blake knew better than to say anything.

--- Write a list of targets, of everyone whos hurt you. (YOUR VIOLENT LACK OF VIRTUE) Matthias quickly regained composure and leaned his right arm on the arm of the sofa, resting his cheek on his fist. His body language practically shouting "Clear out!" He snaked his right arm around Blake's waist as she hugged him. He nodded his greetings, and was shot a cold look from Hayden. Hayden of course was the more mature brother. Their father had always seen it that way, and Matthias envied Hayden. Even though he'd do anything for his brother, he still envied all his brother had. And now he had found out the truth, Hayden and Blake. They were a couple, it slowly ate at him.
"Yup, nice ass. A compliment to die for." he grunted as she moved his body away from hers. "Share the couch toots." he mumbled. He wasn't worried about some girl beating him up, he could dodge a lot of attacks. He did as a kid, his father always lost his temper with him. Thus why he learned the British accent, he went to school there for years. He looked at Hayden then at Blake then, and looked away to the left. It was as if he were intentionally isolating himself from the whole get together. Seeing those two together hurt him too much, it was like being stabbed in the heart.
"So y'know, I got places ta be, so if there was any rhyme or reason to this lovely family gatherin', let's get on with it!" he said suddenly. Hayden and him both stared at each other for a minute before Hayden began to explain the reason for the get together. Matthias faked a stretched then, and placed his right arm on the top of the couch behind Ash. He dared not let any expression cross his face, too sure it would give away why he'd done it. Otherwise, he'd just seem innocently unaware. He interrupted then, to further the innocent look. "Music Video?" he asked, cocking his head. Well this was going to be fun, not.

Blake paled at the mention of why Hayden had called everyone. If there was anything she hated more than upsetting people, it was being in any way in the spotlight. Her reaction was easily read, as she ducked her head down and hid behind her hair, fingers picking at the hem of her pants. She dared not to look at anyone, instead biting on her lower lip and curling up even smaller in the chair.
Asher, in the other hand, shot Matthais an unamused look. He was plucking the little nerve she had. "In all honesty, I'd rather share with the drunken grabbers at my job than you. At least I would be getting money out of it, she said, her tone short but the look on her face was pleasantly blank. "Also, move your arm. Its in my way, dollface."
Ash hated nicknames or pet names. And she could Dole out some rather well and had no problems dishing out. She was more or less confused as to why Hayden would rather have them in some video over professionals. She couldn't figure out why, with the obvious tension between the two males, he would be willing to do it. Sighing, she reached behind her and picked up the taller male's arm and moved it, her tanned and small hand surprisingly warm against his skin. She gave him a flat look before promptly dropping the appendage in his lap.
"Alright, Hayden. What gives? Why the sudden want to play with people you know in the video?"

--- Take your hand in mine. (IT'S OURS TONIGHT) Hayden smirked at the interaction between Matthias and Ash. "Told you you'd love him." With that he snapped his fingers at Matt, whom then went back to lounging. Hayden cleared his throat and reached over placing a hand on Ash's arm. He knew she didn't much like being in the spotlight and he gave a small frown at her. He was the opposite of Blake almost in every way, especially when it came to being on stage. A lot of people couldn't see what they saw in each other, thank god. He would then be too afraid other guys would be clambering after Blake, which already spiked a sense of paranoia. He looked at Ash then, a blank expression.
"You'll be getting paid, dear. Then maybe you can take monkey boy, out on a date over there. Just kidding. No, the real reason I gathered here is I am shooting a music video. It's a ball scene, it'll be shot in the ballroom on the left wing. This Friday, the costumes and what not are already picked out. and Matthias, in the video, you get to have the honor of poisoning me or stabbing me in the video. Your pick." Matthias choked on his beer then and cackled. Hayden narrowed his eyes unamused,"However, if you argue with the director you're out. Got me, toots?" he said rather coldly to Matthias.
Matthias nodded his head slowly, as he gripped his beer. He hated it when people talked back to him., particularly Hayden. "Oh and Ash, to make it even more enjoyable for you. You are partnered with Matthias, sorry." he said, looking apologetically. He had hoped they'd have hit it off more than they had, but it would take time. They were alike, able to throw words out at the drop of a hat. He looked at Blake then,"You'll dance with me right? and no paper bags over the head are not allowed..." he said teasingly, nudging her rib with his finger. He smiled softly then, hoping she would, but he could tell she really didn't want to.

Ash laughed then, reaching over and running a hand through Matthais' hair. She was already loving this and honestly didn't care about what she did, so long as she was helping out a friend. Plus Matthais gave the most hilarious reactions to her. Leaning over, she planted a kiss right on him, unable to resist.
"I'm so excited. Maybe I can teach him how to behave," she laughed before sitting back and tossing her hair over her shoulder as she pulled the tie out. Asher much preferred her hair loose and down, the strands falling to mid-back with a tumbled look that came naturally to them. She honestly was more amused by the whole thing, and if she could provoke a reaction, it was for the betters.
Blake, however, shot Hayden a pained look before nodding. She would never say no, and as a result would get pulled into everything. She uncurled her legs instead and simply made a face at Hayden when he poked her, as she was ticklish. She huffed at him and sighed and ran a hand through her hair, pushing it out of her face in time to catch the kiss Ash planted on Matty. She giggled, hiding behind her hand and was amused as Asher sat back, acting as if nothing unusual had transpired.

--- Write a list of targets, of everyone whos hurt you. (YOUR VIOLENT LACK OF VIRTUE) Matthias fixed his hair after Ash had reached over and messed with it. "Dahmnit." he muttered, his British accent ringing out. He looked at Hayden then,"What happened ta ye mate, did ya hit ya head or sumthin'? I don't dahnce. Never have, never will. Bloody crazy." he leaned back on the couch once more. He ignored the looks Blake and Hayden exchanged and instead, felt his heart practically rise to his throat as Ash reached over and kissed him. He scrambled from his seating then, wiping his mouth. "You fookin' lost ya mind?!" he said, as he started to laugh.
He turned walking a few steps away as he continued laughing, his hands placed on his hips. He turned then,"Oh my gawd, I love er'. Where'd you find er'?!" he said, walking over and placing his arm around Ash. He was looking at Hayden who raised an eyebrow, apparently not shocked at his response. "She's mah buddy now, yup. We're gonna be buds." he looked at Ash then. "Don't act like ya don't like it either, you just kissed me. So my arm 'round you shouldn't be too much to handle." his head jerked toward Blake then.
"You're gonna dahnce?!" he asked, then his head jerked to Hayden. He practically leapt to the left side of the couch then,"No no no! I'm not dahncin'! Do ye hear me? Or are you a bit daft? I'M NOT DAHNCIN'!" he said, leaning his head on his fist again. His famous "I don't give a fuck" stance resonating from him. He pulled the phone from his pocket then, and sighed softly. He stood up and walked out of the room, his desperate search for looking for a modeling agency was only beginning to pay off. However, Matthias didn't really want to ask Hayden for help with it, so he was struggling with it.

Asher laughed, flipping her hair behind her head. She’d listened enough to them and happily ignored Matthais, treating him like one of the guys that came into the club. As a stripper, she saw and did her fair share of…unsavory things and she was more or less fine with the whole thing. Stretching her arms above her head, she ignored the outburst from the other one and yawned, making a note to go grab some more coffee after she left. She smiled then, one of the ‘cat that ate the canary’ smiles as she watched the other two, sauntering over and flicking Hayden’s head gently.
“Now, now. If you all get to the baby making, you’ll have some skeleton pasta looking rugrats. Wrap it up, Hayden,” she teased as she walked off, waving over her shoulder at them as she made her grand exit.
The other female in the room promptly turned bright red and just about choked on air. She couldn’t believe that Asher had said something like that, especially since she’d just met her. Then again, Asher had also pretty much owned Matty in their little conversation and Blake felt almost positive that Matty would be upset with it. She was too shy to look at Hayden as the slightly taller woman left, instead contenting herself to rub off imaginary dirt on her shoe.

--- Take your hand in mine. (IT'S OURS TONIGHT) Hayden started to laugh at Matthias's refusal to dance. His chuckled, a soft but kind tone. Sort of like a father laughing at a son. "Yeah yeah. If we had any rugrats, you'd be the last to know." he exclaimed as she exited. He looked at Matthias then, rubbing where he'd been flicked. He reached over grabbing Blake and dragging her gently into his lap. He hugged her close then, still snickering at Ash's comment. Matthias sneered in disgust at the two and stood up then, announcing his exit. With that, a few steps and the door opened,"I approve!" and it was slammed shut.
Hayden moved his face away from Blake's then,"Worked like a charm. Sooo what happened with Matthias, dear?" he asked. He hoped she wouldn't start crying, but if she did. He'd do his best to cheer her up, he knew she adored Matthias as a brother. Matthias had always been good to her, all of what Hayden knew that was. He heard Matthias walking back up the stairs to the upper wings, but in which direction he didn't know. But he knew for sure, Matthias and Blake were not on talking terms, and it seemed to bug Blake a lot. "Did he act ugly, Blake?" he asked seriously. A bit of rage suddenly rising in him.
For all of the shit in his life, Matthias had seemed to cause, hurting Blake wasn't one Hayden would stand to see. He leaned down kissing her forehead then, snuggling close to her. He smirked as Ash's comment, replayed in his mind. Was rather amusing, a bit offensive, but amusing. Still with Hayden's comment he wasn't sure if he meant he approved of the comment, of Ash, or of both. A strange look crept to his face then, a bit of a amused and puzzled look. A horrible mixture of looks, for it made a creepy grin on his face as he stared off into space. He shook his head then,"Creepy..." he muttered, with a shrug.

Blake made a face at Hayden, instead of commenting. She simply rested her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes as she snuggled him. It wasn’t often that he was this way, Matthais was usually the more affectionate of the two, even if he was angry. She still felt bad about it, and from how long it had taken her to actually tell him, it was no surprise. Blake was always trying to avoid hurting people and running around and trying to help everyone as best she could. She was always putting everyone before herself and she rarely allowed people to do things to help her, viewing it as something that burdened everyone else.
Sighing some, she smiled as he kissed her forehead, opening her eyes and watching Matthais’ retreating back, flinching at his tone. She didn’t like him upset and would more than likely go apologize to him later as she normally did. She uncurled some, resting her feet over the edge of the chair, making sure that she wouldn’t squish Hayden or bother him too much with how she was sitting. It was a quirk, a habit she’d never broken and probably wouldn’t soon. She looked up at him and shook her head, sending blonde strands flying. “Matty was Matty,” she said. She wouldn’t admit to him hurting her in anyway, it wasn’t her nature. Besides, he hadn’t hit her, he’d just yelled.
She looked up in time to catch the look on Hayden’s face, her eyes rolling before she reached up and poked his cheeks gently. She smiled then, a little one, followed by a soft giggle. “I feel an overwhelming urge to call Chris Hansen and NBC’s Dateline,” she murmured, teasing him a bit.
LE TIME SKIPPAGEEEE
It was Friday morning and Blake was up early, as she normally was. She had nightmares a lot, so she usually forwent sleeping and instead played along on some instrument or wrote her own music. It was all loose sheets that eventually would be tossed or lost amidst her shuffle, and she didn’t mind or really care. It wasn’t like she thought any of her stuff was good, so she just let it go. Humming to herself, she had managed to putter down into the kitchen, making something and giggling and singing to herself, just some show tunes and a few pop songs on the radio. She’d also managed to put a few of her own spins on songs that she’d heard floating around, making up lyrics as she went.
It was an unusual site, her making cookies and she’d divided them into cute little boxes, one already snuck up into Matthais’ room and waiting on his beside table. The other one she was currently making was for Hayden, and she’d managed to smear flour on her nose as she finished up the last batch. Once they were baked, she was quick to clean up and put things back, sneaking into Hayden’s room and putting the little box on his pillow. She knew he’d be up sooner or later, so she scurried off to shower and get dressed.
Blake was always shy about her body and made sure that she was covered and that her scars couldn’t be seen, especially the ones from her mother. She wouldn’t outright admit to them being from the woman, but it was enough that she shut down when asked about them. Her showers were quick, no time spent lounging around and she was out and clean, leaving her hair down to air dry as she always did, the tangles long enough to sit on now that they were wet. She hummed as she ran a brush through them, moving around silently with the occasional giggle as she thought of something funny.
Asher groaned as she sat up in her bed, rubbing her eyes. She’d gotten her own coffee machine and set it to go off when she woke up, and now the beeping told her it was ready. She swung her feet out of bed and padded across her apartment to the small kitchen. Her apartment was small, a shithole really, but nonetheless it was hers. No abusive boyfriends, no companions, nothing. The stripper groaned as she poured her first cup of coffee, sipping it and flopping at her kitchen table, staring off into space. There wasn’t a whole lot of furniture there, just enough to make her apartment lived in, and to function. Most of her money went to bills and living expenses.
She sighed again, finishing her cup quickly and getting a second one, setting up for another cup of coffee while she showered and got dressed. Asher wasn’t shy about her body or looks, hence her job, and she really could care less about what she did, so long as it wasn’t porn. After leaving Hayden’s she hadn’t given any thought to him or his brother until time had rolled around for her to come back and help him. He was a friend, and she’d help him. Shrugging her shoulders, she finished her coffee and dried her hair off, having taken her shower on autopilot. She opted for minimal make up and easy clothes, just jeans and a tank top, something that was unusual for her. In a sense, she still wasn’t dressed down because her clothes fit her and looked well, and she had on her heels.
Running her hands through her hair, she was on her way shortly before arriving, using her gate key to gain access, greeting the staff there with a smile and hugs for them, happy to chat as she made her way through.
