~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Day one of recording her new album was rough to say the least. Sam was having a lot of issues focusing on singing the lyrics when all she could think about was Ryan and the look in his eye when he saw her with her head on Cade's shoulder when they were supposed to be hanging out at their apartment. The vision of those tormented eyes haunted her every hour of the day since Ryan was completely unwilling to talk to her right now, or at least he hadn't tried to talk to her. She knew he had promised to come today to help her get through her first day, but she honestly didn't expect him to show up. After the feelings she had forced him to experience that evening, she expected nothing from him anymore. The producer finally told her to take a 15 minute break when they were recording the vocals for "You Belong With Me" and she couldn't get the lyrics right. Sam left the recording booth they had been in for 4 hours already and sat in the hallway with her head in her hands, tearing up from the stress she was beginning to feel. The only thing that seemed to be helping was the fact that she had luckily grabbed a sweatshirt Ryan had given her from his closet when they were 13 and had been separated by their parents for most of the summer. If he wasn't going to come see her today, at least she had the sweatshirt to hold on to. She also wore jeans and a tshirt, paired with her black converse sneakers. Today was not a day for a dress of some kind. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'CAUSE I DON'T WANNA BE ALONE TONIGHT, THE BEST IS YET TO COME. Today was an important day, not just in Sam's life but also Ryan's. This was a dream that the two of them had seen together at a very young age, which was to become famous one day and prove themselves as talented to the world. He got to fulfill his dream a while ago and was living it to the fullest, whereas today was just the beginning, her first day. He had promised her that he would be there, no matter what. Actually both of them had promised each other to be at the big days of each other but she wasn't there at his, which was quite disappointing for him but understandable at the same time as she lived far away and couldn't move to New York. The two had chatted early in the morning on skype before he left so basically she made sure he felt her support and he truly appreciated it. Their friendship from a very young age was the sweetest thing in his life. the two had grown up playing together but got seperated at the age of twelve when her parents moved away but the two of them kept in contact with each other over the internet for the past years. He made sure he wrotes her mails, letters, texted her and she did the same in return. Even distance couldn't overcome their friendship. In word one it was true friendship.
Two weeks ago he heard from his mother that she was coming back to new york, and there wasn't even a word to express his excitement. he contacted her and met her as soon as possible, spending his whole night with her in her little apartment and the next day they spend painting her room, unpacking stuff and settling around things. as much as nervous he was at the thought of it, more than that fun he had at her place and they hung out everyday and he introduced her to his bandmates who knew he was crazy about her but he was in denial to admit his feelings. apart from being shy and mr. awkward, he was trying not to bring someone closer to him and get them in trouble as he had a rivalry going with a few mafia guys who had murdered his father infront of his eyes and kept a close eye on him. just to keep her out of great trouble, he build up a wall between them, a barrier if she ever crossed then she would be in a huge trouble and he would never forgive himself if she got into anything because of him. this was his secret, that only his mates knew who were under strict security and letting sam know about it was like risking her life. So with a cover up of being to focused onto his career, he kept herself away from her but cared way too much for her. he would burn to ashes everytime he saw her with some other guy.
for past three days they hadn't talked before he found her cuddling with caedyn, his best mate. not that he didn't trust the two of her, he was mad at himself. he felt helpless. he wanted her to be his and could do that in seconds by confessing his feelings but he just couldn't. for her, he was creating the complications while in reality complication were there but he hadn't told her about it. he never talked about his dad & brother's death to anyone, for he feared to lose another loved one. that was a secret of life, that only his bandmates knew about. so the past three days went terrible. a part of him wanting to call her, meet her up, hold him in his arms, while the other side, considered this to be the best opportunity to push her away and for once & for all out of his life. he stayed those three days in his room, ignoring his bandmates who lived with him and just thinking what was the right thing to do. today was definitely the biggest day of her life and he was a man of his words. he decided to break out of his ignorance and surprise her. this only only meant keeping his promise but also fulfilling his heart's desire. he got ready with his friends and dragged them with him to the studio, where their duty was not only to congratulate her but also support and cheer her up. as they were his best friends, they decided to help him in correcting his mistake and they arrived at the studio.
Ryan spotted her in the studio, sitting in the corner, looking like a mess. He knew this was all his fault and he knew just the way to fix it. he was good at cheering her up. he had brought some roses, a big teddy bear as if it was valentine's day and a song that he had written for in the card attached to the bear. Entering in with the big bear in his hand such it was covering up his face, he walked over to her. I know what you're thinking, that loser isn't going to come but guess what? He keeps his promises. ''he said, keeping down the teddy bear on the table and smiling at her. He leaned over and placed two kisses on both the sides of her cheeks before handing her the roses. let's forget about the past for now and you can punish me for everything later, but for now, just cheer up and impress these guys. you know you gotta rock their sockes'' he joked, chuckling.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hearing his voice made Sam want to cry even more than she was at that moment. After so many years, he had still remained true to the promise they made to each other years ago. She remembered how horrible it felt to not be there for him on his first day of recording and couldn't believe after everything they had been through over the past three days that he was there. He easily was the most important person in her life right now and to have him here meant the world to her. Her only wish was that she could be able to call this boy... man.. her boyfriend. She knew there were things he wasn't telling her because she could see it in his eyes. However, she also could see that he was severely troubled by it so she let it go for now. Sam knew it was better to just keep an eye on him than to start anything with him. Another 3 day fight would not happen because she knew she would not be able to survive not talking to him for 3 days. She had fallen for him and had fallen hard. When he first began to speak, she looked up and immediately saw the roses and teddy bear he brought with him and couldn't help but smile. Tears were still falling down her cheeks but at least he was here now. "That loser didn't talk to his best friend for a few days so the best friend wasn't sure if they were still... best friends," Sam replied, trying to make him understand how she felt in as little words as possible. The two kisses made her cheeks electrified from the contact, helping to pull her away from the negative feelings that had been surrounding her for the past few hours. Sam looked down at the pretty roses and played with the leaves while he continued to talk about punishing him later and cheering up for the producer and the tech team. "Can you sing the song you promised with me? I feel like that would sound nice." Ryan had promised days ago before they fought that he would sing a mashup of "More Than Words" and "Heaven" from the movie Rock of Ages that had just come out. She sat up a little bit and hugged him around his shoulders, squeezing a little bit. Her head was situated near his ear as she whispered, "Really missed you, Woody." If she had any control over it, they would never fight again. It was too much to handle when she was on her own and didn't have Ryan to talk to. She only wished he would tell her what his deep, dark secret was. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

'CAUSE I DON'T WANNA BE ALONE TONIGHT, THE BEST IS YET TO COME. In one word, Ryan was nothing but caring. He cared for Sammy so much, he couldn't even thinking of hurting her with a pinch of his hand. from a very young age he had been her bestest buddy, protective and possessive over her and even distance couldn't create barrier between them. he became famous & realized who were his friends for real & who were just using him for money or fame. there was a time he didn't have a single friend except for sammy, who remained loyal to her and sincerely told him whatever popped into her mind, which were basically her honest feelings and she made sure the fame didn't get to his head. He appreciated her help and could do anything to thank her. this way his way of thanking her, not to mention keeping his promise. his biggest quality was being understanding, no matter how bad the situation got, he would always understand people instead of getting frustrated. she couldn't make it to his big day, he didn't make crap out of it to rub it on her. he understood her condition and kept his promise to be there. even though he was mad at her, he overcame his anger and decided to be there for her, be her comfort zone and surprise her.
as he handed her the roses and teddy bear, she started to cry and his jaw dropped. this was supposed to be sweet, not sad. he quickly kissed her cheeks, hoping that would cheer her up. no matter how idiotic and mean that loser gets, he can never let go of his best friends, especially someone as special as you sammy'' he nodded, smiling. He had promised to sing the more than words and 'heaven' song with her and he was going to stick to it but first he had to pass it by his manager. only if my manager agrees. he said, pulling her closer and into a hug, trying to calm her nerve. just relax and completely focus onto your own song instead of our song because you're here for your song, not ours, you get it? prove them you're the best babe he said, softly pecking her cheeks again. he hugged her again as she told him that she missed her. i missed you too dear. he said, with full honesty. he softly let go of her, wiped her tears and sat down. look at you, first day to work and you're a mess already, how will your little head ever handle the fame? perhaps you should quit and go back to baking' he teased, sticking his tongue out.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sam couldn't help but smile when Ryan called himself idiotic. "I wouldn't say idiotic.. just blinded by stupidity." She knew Ryan had his reasons for not talking to her and she understood why he had been mad in the first place; she just hoped they never had to repeat that situation. She was also very glad to hear him say she was special. It at least meant that Ryan felt the same way she felt about him as best friends, someone the other could trust with literally anything. Ryan had been her only true friend all through high school, since her parents didn't let her hang out with other people after school if they were even home after getting drunk like they usually did. Ryan had always been her safety net, even now. Sam hadn't thought about him having to check with his manager about singing with her, but she understood why it needed to be done so she simply nodded and dried the tears from her cheeks with the sleeve of his sweatshirt that she was wearing. "Sorry about stealing your sweatshirt.. it's really comfy," she said with a slight giggle as he hugged her. She let out a sigh of relief, feeling the tension slowly slipping from her limbs now that things were settled with Ryan and he was finally here. Sam only nodded about focusing on her own music and called over to one of the producers to start setting things up for a song she wrote called You Belong With Me. Ryan and the boys had worked with them on their last album, so she recognized their faces when they first met after spending a few days on skype while watching the boys record their last album. All his hugs and kisses were making her feel relaxed again, something she hadn't felt since they last spent time together a few days ago. Sam playfully stuck her tongue out at him as he commented on her nerves and baking. "You just want me all to yourself, loser." She playfully shoved him and stood up with the teddy bear and allowed him to carry the flowers as she walked over to the sound booth and stepped inside, closing the door behind her and quickly slipping on the headphones so she could hear the music that was already recorded for the song. The song was obviously written about Ryan, so it was easy for Sam to connect to the emotions she needed in order to make her singing sound meaningful. Sam had written the song a year or two ago when Ryan was dating that girl Jane, who she didn't like at all but put up with because she seemed to make Ryan happy. Ryan had not heard the song before, so she wanted to see his reaction as she stared into his eyes and the music began to play through her headphones. As the beginning notes began to play, Sam started singing the lyrics she had created so many months ago and continued to sing all the way through the song for the first round of recording. "You're on the phone with your girlfriend ‒ she's upset She's going off about something that you said 'cause she doesn't get your humor like I do. I'm in my room ‒ it's a typical Tuesday night. I'm listening to the kind of music she doesn't like. She'll never know your story like I do.
But she wears short skirts I wear t-shirts She's cheer captain And I'm on the bleachers Dreaming about the day when you wake up and find That what you're looking for has been here the whole time.
If you could see That I'm the one Who understands you Been here all along So why can't you see you belong with me?"www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuNIsY6JdUw ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
