Ever since Kayleigh started high school, she always wanted to make her parents proud. All these years she waited for the right time to accomplish her mission. Though, she wasn't exactly aware it was this hard. Kayleigh started on workshops in the middle of high school. It wasn't as easy and she dreamed it would be. It was practically stressing her out. Workshops, school, family, friends, and a lot more. She had to balance her time, schedule.... her life. Once she graduated, she tried on acts. She wasn't really known. She was an amateur to people. To her parents. Though, she didn't give up. She had came that way. She had finished the workshop and she excelled, as they said. They complimented her and said she'd go farther. But her parents were saying the opposite. They kept telling her to stop her 'addiction'. They told her it was a waste of time. They told her to be more like her sister.. Kayleigh started progressing her career when she got accepted in a semi-main role. After a few, she started singing a bit. At first she didn't really want the world to hear but she realized it was another thing she was good at so she decided to tried this one act where singing was involved. She did great. Kayleigh was happy but stayed with her limits in life.
Kayleigh was currently around the shopping centre. Somehow, she was still able to go around in public. Gladly. But of course, a guard stayed in about a few meters away. "At least they don't stick to me much." Kayleigh thought to herself. Kayleigh got around, with her friend. Shopping was boring to do alone. At least she thought. Back then, she just wear whatever she thought was decent enough. Then she started being a bit stylish but she still isn't a 'fashion geek' or 'fashion diva'. She likes to keep her dressing normal and at the same time, stylish. Kayleigh ran a ran through her hair as she and her friend stopped for a rest. "Where to now?" She asked. They had been going around the store for a while now. Though, they just bought a few items. "How about that place you said...er... Alisa's or something?" Her friend tried to say. Kayleigh had been a client of muse. Owned by Alisa Ventimiglia. Ventimiglia. That surname was something special for Kayleigh but she had always hoped that Alisa wasn't related to him. Afterall, it just might be a consideration. But it was obvious that it was a very big possibility that he would be Alisa's brother or at least, cousin. "Oh... Muse? Sure... Erm...lets go." Kayleigh said and both of her friend walked towards the store. A few guards, like 2 or 3, tagging along. Kayleigh entered along with her friend. She took a breath and she started to look around. Kay's friend got around and about too. Minutes later, her friend approached her with a smile on her face. "Kay! This would be a bad timing to say but... I saw the most handsome and sexy guy yet! Though, I think he's taken. He's with a girl." Kayleigh's friend 'fangirled' with a bit of disappointment. Kay rolled her eyes, "There you go again...." She sighed, "And it doesn't mean a guy's with a girl is they're together." Kay shrugged and continued her 'search'. Kay's friend playfully stomped her foot then dragged Kay to the view of the guy. Kay couldn't really do anything but to follow. "There he is!" Her friend squealed. Kayleigh rubbed her dragged arm as she looked at the direction... only to see that familiar brown haired guy that she feared to see.

(That was just perf. <3) Please don't stand so close to me I'm having trouble breathing. I'm afraid of what you see in me, Right now. [/i] "Hey Ali, how're you doing?" Cheerfully he grinned as he entered the boutique, pinching his sister's cheeks. His sister, Alisa, squirmed and pushed his hands away. "God, Jordan, stop acting as if I was your baby sister." Instead of obeying his sister, he motioned forward to pinch her again. "But you are." His sister rolled her eyes. "You're being embarrassing." A laugh escaped the innocent man's lips as he finally retreated a few steps. He loved his sister. dearly, she was everything for him. She was all he had left. Their parents, though they cared and loved them in a sufficient amount, didn't live close to them, and no matter how much the two loved their parents, they depended on each other more than they depended on their parents. His mind recalled the situation a few years ago--when he was young, and Alisa was younger. His cheerful face stiffened a little--he didn't like to think about those times. It scared him. They way Ali was very temperamental, emotional, and the long little traces of blood that stained his sister's arms. Those wounds, they were there for a long time, and he realized what she was doing after a few years. Late, but not too late. And fortunately, they could save her. They could save her, and she lived, she became successful, she became his lovely little sister. Jordan couldn't--or maybe didn't want to--imagine what would happen if his sister's little razor went through her wrist a little deeper. A little more deeper, and he'd lose her forever. Alisa's phone rang, screaming Panic! at the Disco's Sarah Smiles, one of their favourite songs. He was the one that got her to like the band just as much as he did. Grinning, he watched his sister receiving the call. After the call, his sister's eyes lit up, her cheeks glew, and it was pleasing for him to see her that way. "What?" he asked. His sister, almost literally jumping in front of him, answered, "I made it! I booked Colette Cristobal for the next show, and both Carer Williams and Samantha Mackenna agreed to be the ambassador! I mean, this is the fashion show season. It's a miracle I managed to book Colette. Do you know how big this is?" Honestly? He didn't, but he didn't want to burst her bubble. "Awesome," He gave her one of the biggest hug possible ad said, "Go and speak to your supermodel then! I'm proud of you, little sis." Alisa looked up to him and muttered "I know" before she left the boutique with a huge smile on her smile. So. It seemed like had nothing left to do here--with Alisa not around and he didn't really care about fashion. Of course, he dressed nice, but his knowledge of fashion was equal to Severus Snape's. No offense. He turned around all of a sudden, and bumped into Alisa's personal assistant, Katie. The next thing he knew, the folders that Katie was holding fell onto the floor, scattered all around them. "Oh, sorry." He flashed her his cute lopsided grin, his usual grin, as he helped her picking up the folders. "It's-It's okay." The brunette blushed bright red and she cast a few quick glances at his smile. Jordan noticed that her fingers were trembling, and her face was red. Somehow girls acted weird around him. He didn't know why, maybe he always said the wrong things? "Katie, your face is red--are you sick?" The brunette shook her head. "Th-thank you." She muttered under her breath and she ran away after she had all of her folders in her hands. Jordan shrugged. Maybe ladies didn't like him. He turned around again, and his eyes caught the sight of someone. Someone important. Someone he lov ed. Kayleigh.

Kayleigh stared at him for the little distance. It was finally one of her semi-fears. All these years she thought they were never gonna see each other again. At least, not until both of them settle down and have a family, or at least fully move on so they'd just laugh at their foolishness years ago. Kayleigh thought it was over. But it wasn't. She knew to herself. Her little 'hope' wasn't going to work anymore. Jordan Ventimiglia. The only guy she had loved so much. Kay always told herself to stay away from boys. To focus. She had too many things to balance and a guy wasn't one of her priorities. Kay and Jordan met years ago. They were great friends. Eventually, Kay developed a crush on him. Oh, he was so hopeless. He was adorable...handsome... just say it! The only problem is, he doesn't know how to act around girls. All that's in his mind is every girl's intention is friendship. To him, no one would like him. Sometimes, it irritated Kayleigh how girls would just throw themselves at him. Gladly, he had no idea what their intentions were so nothing really happened. Months after their friendship, they finally got together. It was perfect. WAS.
Kayleigh could imagine her friend grinning right now. She watched as a girl bumped to him and obviously looked flustered. She was suttering and blushing. It wasn't hard to see. The distance isn't really that far between them. Kayleigh could hear his voice a bit. She missed it. But she wouldn't admit it. A part of Kayleigh wanted to run up to him and kiss him....and take him back. But a part wanted Kayleigh to run away from him. To forget him. To love someone else. Jordan still haven't changed. He was still thick. He asked if the girl was sick for being red. "You still haven't changed a bit...." Kayleigh thought. Kayleigh bit her lip as the girl walked away from Jordan. Then, he turned around and he saw her. Kayleigh's heart was racing fast. She opened her mouth to speak but it was hard. She turned around and semi-dragged her friend to a stall, to hide herself. "Shit. Hide me please." She told her friend. "What for? Are you seriously letting that hottie go? Come on Kay! He might like one of us." Her friend whined. Though, Kayleigh was sure she was just joking around. Her friend wasn't the type to just go around and date random guys. "You have no idea how much this is troublesome for me, don't you?" Kayleigh muttered as she ruffled her hair unintentionally. "I don't even have any idea who that guy is." Her friend shrugged. Kayleigh opened her mouth to respond to her friend but then she heard her name being called. Kayleigh stood frozen. She didn't really want to turn around and face reality.

Tell me why you're so hard to forget Don't remind me, I'm not over it. Tell me why. I can't seem to face truth. And I really don't know what to do. I'm just a little too not over you. It was her. It was really her, solid and real. The Kayleigh he used to know, the Kayleigh he used to date. Of all places in the vast New York City she had to walk into his sister's boutique. All he knew was he was glad Alisa wasn't there. If Alisa was there, she would probably beat Kayleigh up. Literally speaking. Ali was really mad when they broke up. And Kay..... Kay hadn't changed. She still had the lovely face, beautiful figure, and her usual aura. But her eyes. Her eyes killed him. They were the same pair of hazel eyes that he used to look into, the same eyes that picked him up when he was down, the eyes that said "I love you" when words weren't enough. He could almost hear blood rushing to his cheeks. He was blushing, and he hated it when he blushed. He envied his sister's complexion that wouldn't allow even the feeblest shade of red to appear. Somehow Jordan wished Katie was still there, so he didn't have to stand there like a statue, and he could at least speak to someone that wouldn't make him blush. Jordan looked a couple times at the door, but it would be really silly if he left all of a sudden. She'd seen him and he'd seen her, and the girl who was with her had noticed him. His cheeks got warmer, and Jordan seriously felt like he wanted to jump out of the window. He buried his hands in his pockets, nibbled on his lower lip, looked down to his shoes and pushed his glasses back and forth with his finger before he realized he had to say something. "Eh, hey." he finally mumbled, almost inaudible, but it was still loud enough to be heard. Jordan hated himself right after the words slipped through his lips. This wasn't how he thought they would meet again. He always thought that when they came across each other, he was already long gone and moved on, happy with his life and didn't care at all about Kayleigh. And obviously his plan did NOT involve blushing. They broke up a little while ago. He had to leave to Virginia--he just started his job and he was to be trained there. He thought they were going to be fine, he thought they were stronger than most couples. But it was a lot harder than what he thought it would be, and eventually, they broke up. He left for Virginia with a broken heart, and he never knew if she felt the same. Although he never told anyone about how he felt--he was hurt. His sister's scars were outside, on her skin, but Jordan's scars were inside. Deep down, beneath the smiles and the happiness. It was over. It was over and he was supposed to be over it too. He tried to date other girls, but nobody could fill the gap. The emptiness that Kay made was far beyond repair, and he was getting tired of pretending he wasn't hurt. "What're you doing here?" Okay, it was NOT the best words to say to an ex, but he couldn't come up with anything else. God, he couldn't even look at her normally--he could only cast a few quick glances at her, never holding his gaze, as if he was scared that if he looked at her long enough, his sugarcoated wounds would bleed again, and he would never be able to feel again. Forever numb, with an unrequited love.

Kayleigh stood there, frozen. She wasn't sure of what to do or what to say. She wanted there to be a hole below and swallow her from this so called 'reality'. She wanted to walk away and ignore him but at the same time, she couldn't bring herself to that plan. She couldn't drag her feet away without looking at him. But not only that, her friend will never let her live this down. Ever since Kay and Jordan broke up, she never told her new friends about it. She always left it out, like he wasn't part of her life. "Maybe I do wish he hadn't been...." Kayleigh thought to herself. But then... Jordan was part of her life. Part of her personality. Kayleigh wouldn't be where she was if it wasn't for Jordan. And that was one of the things she'd never admit, once again. When Kayleigh met Jordan, she was just a newbie of her career. It was her little secret to give up but he was there. He supported her when she needed it. And she was there for him too. They comforted each other and made sure the other was happy. He was her missing piece. She was his missing piece. They grew apart. The perfect life. The perfect relationship. The perfect love. Shattered to pieces. Only her sister knew what she had been through. Even her most trusted friends had no idea about Jordan. Last time she said his name was years ago. She always addressed Jordan as someone, him or something in direct. It was her way to avoid thinking of him. But it never worked. Someone or something will always be there to remind him of her and now? He's here. Alive, real, and speaking.
Kayleigh heard him muttered something like 'hey'. Now, she knew she couldn't run away. Kay took a small breath and then turned around to finally face him. His glasses were the same as before. He grew a bit but his voice was the same. His hair... are still the highlight of himself. His eyes....his beautiful eyes, still haven't failed to make her fall. "No. No. You moved on. You forgot him." Kayleigh thought and mentally slapped herself. "Uh... Hi." She said a bit as she directed her focus on the clothes by her side a bit. She didn't want to make eye contact. To anyone, that is. She feels like she'd face death by then. It might be exaggerating but it was what she had been feeling... and ten minutes haven't passed yet. "I...I'm a client and... my friend wanted to look around." Kayleigh said as she looked at him again, regretting it too. Kayleigh's friend had pulled a little 'thinking' face, "Wait, wait, wait. You two know each other?" Her friend asked, confused. Kayleigh didn't really want to say anything. By this, she'd have to tell her friends all about Jordan. Then again, she could say a white lie. Kayleigh looked at Jordan, as if she needed help. But he wouldn't understand. He wouldn't. He might even get mad, himself. Which doesn't happen much. Kayleigh needed to say something. Fast. Before anyone could even say something. Afterall, you'd never know. "Y-y-yeah.. He's... an old friend." Kayleigh let out, biting her lower lip.

Don't you remember? The reason you loved me before Baby, please remember me once more.
When was the last time you thought of me. Oh, have you completely erased me from your memory? So, she was a client. A client. At his sister's boutique. Maybe she had been a client there for a long time. What would happen if he knew about this earlier? Would he come to Alisa's boutique, trying to find her and then beg for her to take him back? Then maybe if she refused, he'd camp there, outside, and never going to move again until she was willing to take him back, like the guy in The Script's song, The Man Who Can't Be Moved. If he knew about this a couple months ago, would he do all that? He didn't know, but it sounded like something he would do. A couple months ago. What would he do now? Nervously he played with a dress that was placed close to him, wrapping the thin satin ribbon around his index finger and buried his hand in the lovely cloud of tulle before he realized that it wasn't normal for guys to play with a dress. Right. So he had to say something--again--to the girl that he loved, who might've moved on and was perfectly happy with her love life. "My sister, um," he started, "owns the label." He was basically muttering the whole time. He missed the time when it was so easy to talk to her, it was so good to look into her beautiful eyes, and when he held her in his arms, he couldn't even explain how it was like. It felt like nothing was real but the two of them. And he hated the fact that he almost forgot that feeling. Yes, they broke up, but she was a big part of him, and it was pretty much impossible to forget her. Been there, tried that, epic fail, enough said. He cried when they broke up, a little while before he left. Later he found out that Ali was eavesdropping outside his door and told their parents about it. He still remembered the conversation he and his mother had at the airport. "Are you going to be okay?" "Mom, I'm fine." "How do we know that you're not going to jump off of the plane?" "MOM!" "It's just a thought!" It took a long time for him to get better. He talked about her every now and then--in a subtle, hidden way. And he frequently said her name, sometimes when he was alone, sometimes in the dark of the night, sometimes when he lost his peace of mind. She was his sunshine, his moonlight, the shiver in his lips, the tremble on his feet. If only he could wrap his hands around her and remind her of that feeling again, he would never, ever, going to let go. But maybe she already moved on. And then he heard her. She said he was 'an old friend'. And his wounds, just like that, bled again. All those feelings--sorrow, rage, disappointment, love, and every single emotion that was imposdible to be named one by one--rushed in him, blending together, screaming inside him. He didn't know how he felt about it. Didn't know if he was angry, sad or confused. He remembered her, all this time. Nobody could replace her. But to her, he was merely an old friend, not more, not less. Did she even remember him? As much as he wanted to leave and forget her, he didn't want them to forget each other. He still wanted to keep her as a beautiful memory, like a photograph with a sepia tone that warmed his heart, whether the picture was bitter or sweet. Everyone knew about Kayleigh--only he never told them about how he actually felt about the breakup. Everyone except his family thought it was a 'good breakup' and nobody was hurt, it was for the sake of the both of them and they were fine with it. But no. Not at all. Was there even such a thing as a good breakup? But at least she didn't have to forget him, right? After all, they had memories together, they had each other's backs. At what point did he go wrong exactly? There was fire starting in Jordan's eyes. He was never the one to get mad at people, but he just couldn't take it. "Yeah, right," he said with obvious sarcasm, looking at Kay's friend instead of her, "just a friend. An old friend, Kay. Awesome." Even Jordan was surprised to hear how sad and bitter he was.

It took Kayleigh a few seconds to realize what she said. Friends? That wasn't what they were. Kayleigh and Jordan... they loved each other. Kayleigh loved him more than she ever loved her family.... or anyone else for that matter. She was a mess when they broke up. She thought she was never going to get better. Or so she thought she was already fine. This moment proved to her that she wasn't over it. She never was. Jordan's presence was always with her. Even if she did try dates a few times, her mind was always on Jordan. Like it was on 'Thinking of You". Whenever someone kisses her, all she thinks about is how right it was with Jordan. How... how he made her feel special... how he made her feel complete...and loved. Kayleigh remembered the time when her sister actually suggested a psychiatrist to help her. But Kayleigh went sarcastic and told her sister that she was heart broken not insane. She also said in a way she never thought she'd never imagine using with her sister. Kayleigh had always respected her family. Being the odd one out, she needed to follow everything they say. Because of the break-up, her father looked at her lowly than ever but she didn't care then. She was hurt. Her sister said to herself that when she see Jordan, she would beat him up. Which wasn't really likely her sister. Kayleigh's sister is more on thinking, more on strategies and... more serious. Perhaps her misery changed the family. Her father was actually happy when she got back to her original state but at the same time, her father still remained the same after that.
Kayleigh fought back a smile when Jordan played with the dress. It was his habit to play with anything near him when he was nervous. Then as Kayleigh said they were friends. She looked at him. His eyes darkened. Well, not literally. But Kayleigh... Kayleigh knew the feeling when he was mad. He was mad that they said they were friends. Jordan looked at Kayleigh's friend then agreed...sarcastically. Kayleigh felt worried about Jordan. The last time he got mad was when Kayleigh was in trouble. At least, that was the last time she remembered. Then, she felt anger herself. 'Oh him? He's my ex-boyfriend. I messed up and we broke up. It was my fault. All mine' Is that what he wanted to hear? Kayleigh's friend felt like she shouldn't be there. She tugged on Kayleigh then signaled she's going to look around the store. Kay didn't say anything, though. "Er... I'm gonna go... look around." Her friend said awkwardly, "Nice meeting you, though!" Then left. Kay stared at her friend then directed her sight back to him. "Well, what do you expect? At least I didn't told my friend you're my enemy." Kay said bitterly. [/size]

Did you regret Ever standing by my side? Did you forget What we were feeling inside? Now I'm left to forget about us.
But somewhere we went wrong, We were once so strong Our love is like a song, you can't forget it.
So now I guess, this is where we have to stand. Did you regret ever holding my hand? Never again please don't forget don't forget.
"Enemy?" Jordan repeated obliviously. So, that was what he was. An enemy. The hell went wrong? They had it all. They had everything in the world in their hands. If there was a Nobel prize for 'Best Couple Ever', they might have won it. Well, yes, they weren't exactly the classic Disney couple that lived happily ever after in some alabaster-floored castle with a pumpkin carriage and three fairy godmothers, seven dwarves, and a wicked stepmother locked up in the dungeon, God, no. They had their fights and arguments, mostly about how the other girls seemed to be somewhat attracted to him in one way or another, and well, he had his jealous moments, but they only fought once or twice. Even after they broke up, although he hated to admit it, he still had butterflies when he thought of Kayleigh. He still remembered her heartwarming little smile. He still remembered how she saw the world. He still remembered the way she said "I love you." I love you, she said. Jordan knew he remembered exactly how she sounded. Sometimes, in the middle of the night, he could almost hear her voice saying those words. And he loved her. He said 'I love you' to her even before she told him that. He was the impulsive one, and when he loved someone, he'd tell them right away. With no hesitation. Like a child who jumped into a pool without testing the water. But Kayleigh, Kayleigh remembered him as an enemy. "Why, Kayleigh?" Oh God, WHY did he have to sound SO desperate and sorrowful? Why did it matter so much? They already broke up anyway, and he should've moved on. For the love of everything holy, he moved on, or at least, that was what he thought. All these thought rushed inside his head, pounding, and screaming, and he was frustrated. And angry. Angry because thing used to be...things used to be good. Things used to be easy--and simple--and when she was around, the room used to light up, and the sky was her own kind of blue. He missed her, and he felt more and more frustrated when he realized that it was true. He missed Kayleigh Allison Leander, more than he ever missed someone in his life. "The hell what did I do wrong to you? At what point did everything go wrong exactly? Because I wasn't your enemy, and you know it! I know it, we both do." Jordan ruffled his hair and stared angrily at the girl in front of him. "Even if you moved on, we don't have to be enemies. You were a big part of my life. I'm not saying that I like to admit that, but you know what? You were. And I don't want us to be enemies. I don't want you to think of me as your enemy. And maybe you've moved on with a perfect boyfriend and pumpkin carriages and glass slippers and all, but I want you--" Jordan paused to breathe "I want you to know that I--" --Still love you.If only he had more courage to say it.

Kayleigh flinched and just stood there. Kay feels as if her heart was crushed from the thought of him being hurt. She never actually thought her words could hurt Jordan. Its been years already. She accepted that they aren't going back together. She accepted that they weren't for each other. At least, she thought she did. But judging what she's feeling right now? Those thoughts were false alarms. When they broke up, Kayleigh always asked herself: Why did the happy ever after end? But of course, she never got a real answer. Her sister, her friends...all they say is they just simply weren't meant to be. And the fact hurt her. She acted as if she was strong and she moved on. After months and years of not seeing him... she thought her grief was over. She thought she almost forgot his face. She thought she forgot his voice. His laugh. His humor. But she didn't. Every memory was revived to her.
Kayleigh had been called reckless before. Perhaps sometimes she doesn't think twice about words she say. Kay bit her lip and looked down. She was ashamed of herself. But at the same time, she furious, relieved that he was here, curious and just a mix of many, many emotions. Kay let him finished talking. He stopped mid sentence which made her look up at him. He wanted to let her know what? The sentence made Kay's heart skip a beat. "No... don't hope. Its over, remember?" she thought to herself as she clenched her fists to try and calm herself. But that wouldn't likely happen. At least not right now. "I didn't meant that I see you as my enemy. Heck, I don't want my life to be a fairy tale. I don't want pumpkin carriages. I don't want glass slippers. Or... talking mice or anything unrealistic!" she shouted back at him. "Do you even know how hard it was for me? Do you even know how much I tried to hate you but I couldn't?" she whispered, not wanting to go on. If she does... she'd cry right there and then.

Every part of me is broken now, I tried to scream but nothing came out. Drop my pride I reveal my insides And it all came pouring out. Everyone in the boutique was now staring at the two of them as if they were watching a blockbuster romance drama starring Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie, but that's The Tourist. Jordan didn't even have a chance to think twice. It was like everything happened in a fricking splitsecond, everything was moving way too fast for him and he wasn't ready. It felt like the time when he hugged his little sister and bumped into Katie was a thousand years ago when they were preparing for The First Crusade. He was freaking out--there were too many things in his mind, he was outraged, overwhelmed, but at the same time all those feelings hat he had for Kayleigh were urging him to let them out. Jordan wanted to cry, to hug Kayleigh, to scream, to do everything at the same time, and he just didn't know which one should he do. In front of him, Kayleigh was ranting about how she never wanted fairy tales and how she only wanted realistic things--and Jordan couldn't hold his feelings in any longer. "Well you know what? I want them! I want a fairytale, I want a pumpkin carriage, and this is going to sound weird coming from a guy, but I want glass slippers! And everything unrealistic! Because, Kayleigh, you can't be realistic when you're actually in love, that's just how it is!" Jordan's face was crimson with anger, and everyone was looking at them now, shifting uneasily from one feet to another, wondering if they just entered a personal warzone. But he didn't care. All he wanted was Kayleigh, and she was the only thing that crossed his mind. He didn't even take the time to stop and think about his words and how he was going to say it, like what he usually did. Jordan leaned closer and yelled back. "I know! I know what it's like maybe as well as you do! Because the reason why I'm standing here, yelling this out, is because no matter how hard I try, I can't forget you!" Frustrated, Jordan paused to breathe and he ruffled his hair. "No one can fill the gap! I don't know what did you do to me, but I swear, some nights I feel like I want to just run into the streets and let some random car hit me, just so I can get you out of my head! And it's torturing me because not only the fact I can't forget you, but also the fact that I still love you!" His face was jus two inches away from her face, and suddenly he realized what he'd said. Oh dammit. Please tell me I didn't say that. The silence that followed hs rant was astounding. Jordan himself had no idea what to do. It was like time froze around him, and for once--everything was like what it used to be. Just him and Kayleigh.

Kayleigh didn't care if people around the boutique were staring at them. Even Kayleigh's best friend was at the corner, looking at what was happening. It was weird and kind of a scene around the mall and in the boutique but... that wasn't the case. At least not for Kayleigh. It had been tons of years since she last spoke to Jordan. They didn't even keep any communications since then. They broke everything between them. Though, it was actually the idea of her sister, thinking it would make the two move on a bit better. Perhaps it did help but... there were times when Kayleigh often thought of calling Jordan or talking to him. There were times when he really missed him... and there were times that he wanted to tell him her success and how she improved with her dreams. But everytime, it just clicks in her mind... Jordan's gone. He's not coming back. Its over. Ever since they broke up, she had a little hope that they'll be back together... but they never saw each other or heard each other until now.
Kayleigh froze in her spot. She felt as if the world stopped around her, as if the world stopped rotating. She didn't know what to do or say anymore. Jordan...still loves her... He never stopped loving her. Just like she never stopped loving him. Kayleigh opened her mouth then closed her. She felt a little hope in her heart, they could be together but no... she should hope of things that were in the past. She just... can't. Kayleigh couldn't bear make the same mistakes that she had done in the past. "You still...love me?" She asked him quietly, still in her shock. She never really expected this... she never did. "After...all these years...." She said. But more to herself. For some reason, she wanted to disappear and run away. Her emotions were flooding... she wanted to be happy, to be sad, to be angry... she wanted to do everything. But she couldn't.
OOC: Sorry this is short and bad >.< I didn't really had the best muse this week. I'll try to be better in my next replies.

And I will make sure to keep my distance. Say I love you, when you're not listening. And how long can we keep this up? Jordan's face was as pale as a ghost. He didn't know what he was thinking when he blurt the whole thing out. And it was true. Everything that he said was true. She was always on his mind, and to Jordan, love meant Kayleigh. She was love itself. But obviously he wasn't planning on yelling the whole truth out in his little sister's boutique packed with people who were staring at him. Even Katie was watching behind a rack full of full-skirted coats. Some of them were starting to leave, perhaps feeling uneasy by the whole situation. Alisa would surely hunt him down, kill him with an axe, cook him into a pie and feed the ravens with it if she found out about this. Kayleigh herself was standing in front of him with her eyes open wide, probably shocked by the truth, just like him. But he wanted to know--he wanted to know if she felt the same. If she still remembered all the things they had together. The first time he said 'I love you' to her. Kayleigh opened her mouth, then closed it again, her eyes were still fixed on his. Was it even right to hope so much? Was it right to drag her into this situation? It was unfair for Kayleigh, for her friend, and for everyone who was shopping in the boutique. And it was unfair for Alisa. She worked so hard for this place since she was seventeen, and now he was kicking all the shopper out. Not exactly an act that would get him a pat on the back and a jar of cookies from Alisa. Well maybe a pat on the back. With a hammer. Kayleigh must've moved on. With someone new, someone better, someone who would make her feel invincible with every word he said. And then it rang in his mind--loud and clear. Kayleigh deserved to be with someone that wasn't him. Because everything that they had together--everything was in the past. It was over. And he should've moved on, too, but he just wasn't ready. But even if he wasn't ready to forget her, he shouldn't hold her back by saying that he still loved her--it was just, wrong. Wrong. She had all the rights to be with someone else, someone better. Jordan looked at the girl in front of him, and he knew he had to learn to let go, whether he liked it or not. "I'm sorry." Jordan said, his fingers ran through his hair before he dropped his hands helpslessly. "I'm sorry." I'm sorry for doing all the things that I did to you. I'm sorry. He could feel his breath getting heavy and his head spinning around. But he wouldn't sho it. Alisa wouldn't show it. He looked up to his younger sister almost all the time, and if Alisa wouldn't put her heart on sleeve or get emotional at this kind of situation, then he shouldn't. Even though he couldn't do it. Jordan bit his lower lip, turned around, and he walked to the door. Because he loved Kayleigh that much.

Kay still remembers the times they had. The good, the happy and sad. Its all still fresh in her mind. Even if she wanted to forget a memory, it isn't possible for her. They were a 'perfect couple' as people say. They were always happy and they support each other in every way possible. But... things tumbled down. Kay couldn't really last long with the little arguments and... especially that Jordan is leaving her. She couldn't bear to have him away. Jordan always insisted... they could still be together. But... Kay didn't want that. Kay didn't want a long distance relationship. She trusts Jordan with all her life but... that just doesn't work for her in any way. It doesn't help that they've both been busy... they had less time for each other. Maybe they weren't ready for a relationship by that time. Maybe it was better for them to be on their way. And that's what they did. There was no need to figure things out, its time to go on their separate ways. Why? 'Cause the pain and hurt... will always remain. After a few years... Kayleigh thought they could be friends again. But... she never thought things would be like this at all.
People started to leave the store little by little. And Jordan's face was pale. Kayleigh looked at the ground then back up at Jordan. She wanted answers, but at the same time... she doesn't want to know anything. Her mind is already racing. What would she do? What could she do? Kayleigh felt everything go away. She felt like it all stopped. She didn't even hear Jordan... she just saw how he mouthed the words... how he left her there. Kayleigh felt her heart shatter like before... he left her again. He always does. Kayleigh didn't say anything, though. She just stood there and then her friend came to her. "Kayleigh... i'm so sorry!" Her friend apologized. Kayleigh raised her hand to shut her up and nodded. "Its not your fault,....lets just go." she muttered and left, herself. She left with an another broken heart.
